This site is still being added to and further enhanced. For example, just go to Atlas of the human embryo and click on embryo Stage 19 (stage 19). On that page you can view an embryo from all sides and on all possible cross-sections and there is a wonderful animation (pseudo timelapse) to click on. Here you can see the embryo “grow” and change shape during the first weeks. Among other things, you can see how the embryo first curves and then stretches again.
