Michel Odent is a gynecologist of French origin who, following in the footsteps of his colleague Jacque Leboyer, has conducted much research in the context of natural and woman- and child-friendly childbirth.
On good grounds, he makes intriguing comments on the current trend of the increasingly technical and medical approach and manipulation of pregnancy and birth. Are there relationships between HOW a person is born and his later basic attitude toward fellow man and society? Are modern fertilization techniques entirely without psychological consequences for the child? And so on.
