Bei meinen Forschungen zur Organisation des Substrats der Propriozeption stellte sich heraus, dass der traditionelle Ansatz der medizinischen Anatomie, den menschlichen K\u00f6rper als r\u00e4umliches Konstrukt aus einzelnen Elementen zu beschreiben und zu analysieren, nicht geeignet ist, um die funktionelle Organisation dieses Substrats zu verstehen. Eine transanatomische, architektonische Sicht auf die Organisation des Bindegewebes im K\u00f6rper war n\u00f6tig. Als ich die Faszienforschung kennenlernte, erkannte ich, dass die Faszie(n) als komplement\u00e4re Dimension des so genannten Haltungs- und Bewegungsapparats und deswegens die Matrix ist, in die die anderen Komponenten des Apparats eingebettet sind und die den notwendigen architektonischen Kontext f\u00fcr die \u00dcbertragung von Kr\u00e4ften und die Erm\u00f6glichung von Bewegungen bietet. Als ich dar\u00fcber hinaus Modelle und Konzepte wie Biotensegrity kennenlernte, begann ich die &#8222;Faszie&#8220; als Ausdruck der Dimension des Mesenchyms (und damit des Mesoderms) als Matrixgewebe zu erkennen und zu sch\u00e4tzen, das nicht mehr und nicht weniger als die Dimension des Innern, das &#8222;Gewebe&#8220; des K\u00f6rpers, darstellt. Als David Lesondak, der meine Konzepte und Erkenntnisse sehr bef\u00fcrwortet, mich einlud, meine Sicht der Faszien in seinem neuen Buch zusammenzufassen (siehe oben), war ich sehr geehrt und habe das gerne getan.
