Essay von Jaap van der Wal \u00fcber das Menschsein.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><em>Vorwort<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>Es gab Kulturen, in denen die Menschen die Zeit der Schwangerschaft als das erste Jahr des Lebens z\u00e4hlten. Eine intuitive Wertsch\u00e4tzung dieser vorgeburtlichen Existenz als ein wesentlicher Teil unserer irdischen Existenz? In unserer Kultur &#8218;z\u00e4hlen&#8216; wir einen Menschen erst, wenn er geboren ist. Bedeutet das auch, dass wir einem ungeborenen Menschen (noch) kein Recht auf Existenz zugestehen? Jede neue Geburt hat unbestreitbar viele Elemente eines Anfangs, eines neuen Werdens. Ein Mensch betritt die Welt, die ihn erwartet und in der ihm (hoffentlich) Raum gegeben wird, um er selbst zu werden. Aber streng genommen ist das so, wie die Zuschauer, die Umstehenden es sehen; sehen k\u00f6nnen. Aber wie ganz anders wird dieses Ereignis beleuchtet, wenn wir auf der anderen Seite stehen. Woher kam das neugeborene Kind? Was war die Welt, in der es vor seiner Geburt lebte? Wie sah das menschliche Funktionieren, das Menschsein, damals aus? Die Kenntnis und das Verst\u00e4ndnis der vorgeburtlichen Entwicklung des Menschen kann einen Einblick geben, was f\u00fcr ein dramatischer \u00dcbergang die Geburt tats\u00e4chlich ist, aber es kann auch das Verst\u00e4ndnis f\u00fcr den Hintergrund erleichtern, vor dem die ersten Monate des Lebens eines S\u00e4uglings gesehen werden sollten.
